How to identify a stroke?
If you have never heard about the STR method, it’s time to learn something new. You can actually recognize a stroke victim by asking three simple questions:
S – Ask the person to SMILE
T – Ask them to TALK and SAY SIMPLE THINGS
R – Have the person RAISE BOTH HANDS
If the victims unable to do any of these things, call 911, and describe the case.
Stick out the tongue
You can also ask the person to stick out their tongue. If the person can’t do this or if their tongue goes from one side to the other, you are probably talking to a stroke victim.
