Method
Place a large, non-stick frying pan over a medium heat.
Add the onion chillies and garlic and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes. Add the cayenne pepper or paprika, cinnamon, cumin and beef mince and stir fry for 5-6 minutes.
Add the tomatoes mushrooms and peppers and bring to the boil.
Season well, cover tightly and cook over a low heat for 20-25 minutes.
Add the beans, stir to mix well and return to the heat for another 20 minutes.
Remove the chilli from the heat and serve in warmed bowls with rice and choice of salad/veg
FOR THE SLOW COOKER – lightly fry the onions, garlic, chillies and spices, add the mince and brown… chuck that and everything else in the slow cooker for 6 hours high
This also works well with turkey breast mince (free), or 5% fat pork mince (free)
