If your child has developed fever, take it to a doctor who can detect the problem and put the child on an appropriate treatment. However, if the fever strikes overnight or you’re on vacation, there are a few simple homemade remedies which can help at least temporarily.
HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES:
-POTATOES
Wash and peel a couple of potatoes, then cut them on slices and apply them on the soles of your child’s feet. Put on cotton socks afterwards and leave the potato slices to work overnight.
-WATER AND BRANDY
Mix a cup of brandy with a cup of water, then soak a gauze in the mixture and put it on your child’s soles to reduce the fever.
-COLD CLOTH
Moisten a cloth with icy cold water, then lay the child down and apply the cloth on their forehead.
When using the remedies, we also suggest giving your child plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration and showering them with warm water frequently. Try the remedies yourself and you will be amazed by the results!
