Opening its first store in Brimingham in 1990, Aldi ,one of the most famous supermarkets, was launched. Even though it is rapidly growing, Aldi is still just a small contender in the UK marketplace with its main competitor being Lidl.

Lidl has sparked a price war after it launched a Great British Bake Off-inspired baking range, which includes a stand mixer at just £49.99.
The baking programme has moved to Channel 4 but has kept fans content by sticking to the same format.
The newly launched kitchen appliance, which had a 5L capacity and a 7 speed settings, goes on sale on September 17 across Lidl stores.
At £49 Lidl’s stand mixer looks suspiciously similar to the one from rival Aldi, which launched its own baking range last week – but £15 cheaper.
It is also more than eight times cheaper than the classic model from high-end brand KitchenAid, which is selling for a whopping £399 on the retailer’s website.
It’s worth noting that you can get the luxury product cheaper on Amazon with prices starting at £319.20.
Other items in Lidl’s range include a 4-in-1 glass cake stand at £11.99 as well as a set of ten food storage containers for less than £5.
Wannabe bakers can also get their hand on a retro Ernesto cake tin set of for less than £5 and baking mould accessories available in a range of colours for £2.49.
Meanwhile, Aldi’s new range aimed at fans of the show is already available in stores and online across the UK since August 27.

It’s not the first time the budget stores launched a war over pricing.
In July Lidl went head-to-head with Aldi, offering a full school uniform for just £3.75.
The launch of the new range prompted Aldi to cut the price of its school uniform package from £5 to £3.75.
But the budget supermarkets might not always be the cheapest options to hunt for bargains.
Asda hit headlines last month for hiking the price of their bananas to 76p a kilo, overtaking Waitrose as the priciest supermarket.
And Sun Online research found that Poundland is more expensive than Waitrose in some price comparisons, while Aldi charges more than Ocado.
